Today I'm showing you some drawings I made of a crab claw I keep at my office desk. It's either a rock crab or a Jonah crab; I can't remember which right now. The claw has become bleached by spending so much time in the sun, but I can still discern its various bumps and textures.
I found this claw at the beach while visiting my folks in Maine last summer, and I keep it around for study purposes. I used a micronpen for these sketches because it allows me to get very precise, fine lines when I feel like creating something more meticulous in nature.
What's your take on crustaceans?
