Sketch of the Week

As I'll explain in a future post, I'm ambivalent at best about Roswell's UFO-paraphernalia. That said, I have done one sketch of the UFO Museum:


If this doesn't look like a UFO museum to you, that's because you're seeing the back side of the building. I didn't even realize it was the museum until I had finished it and continued walking up the street. 

Aside from the gritty texture of the building, I had drawn it because I was experiencing what I call geographical deja-vu when I looked at it, and momentarily thought I was back in the alleys of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This happens to me fairly frequently, actually, and reminds me that places and people are often more alike than they are different.
