Sketch of the Week

The Southwest is known for its dramatic thunderstorms, where lightning extends its tendrils across the sky like an octopus stretching out its tentacles. Anyway, Roswell has been witnessing some dramatic lightning storms recently (and some flooding to boot). After watching one of these storms, I grabbed my paints and sketched my impressions of it while they were still fresh in my memory.

I could see this making an interesting monotype, or if I ever gained enough of an understanding of glazes, a compelling ceramic surface.
