Sketch of the Week: Eggs and Drape

Today's sketch is one that you readers may remember. I briefly featured it in a series I did called "Good Eggs," where I talked about a series of sketches I did involving eggs and drapes. After doing one relatively large-scale charcoal drawing, in my typical fashion I lost interest in the subject and moved on to other things. Recently, however, I revisited these neglected drawings when I decided to take a spare canvas lying about and make a painted version of this study:
