When my mother taught high school earth science, she used to wear this T-shirt on casual Fridays that showed a medley of different types of stones and minerals, all captioned with the wonderfully cheesy phrase "Geology Rocks!" Today's post takes its name from that goofy shirt.
This geode and crystal are recent additions to my sketching collection. I particularly like the colors and striations of the geode, and have been contemplating making a nonobjective painting based on these patterns.
