As mentioned in a previous post, as a kid I drew dragons constantly, and I'll still doodle one now and then as a way to relax. The other day, I decided to see how well my dragons would translate on my phone's sketch app, and came up with this:
If I'd had an app like this as a kid, I don't know whether I ever would have expanded beyond dragons. When I drew these critters in ballpoint pen I remember always having a hard time not letting the detail of the scales overpower the design, but here I was able to effortlessly blend the scales into the shadows and highlights. Technology definitely has its perks.
