Lately I've been doing my color sketches with watercolor pencils because I like the convenience, but for this latest bouquet I went back to acrylic washes:
I liked the different shapes each flower presented, from the ruffled carnation to the intricate chrysanthemums. Given my preference for colors in the red family, moreover, I particularly liked the palette of these blooms. What can I say, I've always liked warm colors, but balanced with an edge of cool blues and greens.
