Here are some more feathers I've collected and drawn in preparation for my cyanotype project. I'm not sure whether I'll use them yet, but if nothing else it's been good drawing practice.
I've been collecting these feathers on my morning walks, as I can find them pretty much all over town. I know that the gray ones tinged with brown come from the morning doves, as do the ones tips with white at the end for tail feathers. I'm less certain about the gray ones edged with black. At first I assumed they also came from doves, but after seeing a Mississippi kite on the Spring River bike path the other day, I'm wondering whether they've been shedding feathers too.
