This sketch goes back to my days in Dallas, when I spent an afternoon at the World Aquarium:
Basically the Aquarium mimics the ecosystem of a rainforest. You start out on the top floor among the tree tops, and slowly wind your way down to the subterranean levels to be amongst the fish tanks. It's a really cool place replete with terrestrial and aquatic animals alike, and if you're ever in the area, I highly recommend it.
I sketched this anteater because he reminded me of that peculiar, tennis-shoe wearing critter from Edward Gorey's "The Doubtful Guest."
