The subject of today's sketch is an old friend of mine.
When I was a kid I had an obscene number of stuffed animals, from rabbits to sharks, but nowadays this owl is the sole survivor. It was given to me by some family friends many years ago, and I've always liked having it around.
Sentiment aside, I sketched the owl to play around with dry brush, but I'll admit it's not a compelling drawing. I think the eyes came out better than anything else.
