Today's sketch is another iris, but this one was drawn with a purpose beyond that of practicing my drawing skills:
Several months ago I received an email that was circulated throughout the Roswell arts community. In it I learned that the nephew of an acquaintance of mine was about to undergo heart surgery. To provide consolation and solace, everyone who received the email was asked to create and donate a piece of heart-themed art, one small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. I decided to draw him a get-well flower, one that won't wilt and wither away.
I'll leave it to you to find the heart.
