Here's an oldie, ca. 2006, from one of my college sketchbooks, when I took art classes as part of my major:
This is the walkway down by Lake Michigan in Lake Forest. The assignment was to do a scene in one-point perspective, hence all the grid lines and vanishing points. Ultimately I ended up using a scene in the school library instead, so this never went anyplace. Occasionally I've thought about revisiting this drawing, but really, what's the point? I liked college just fine, but it's over, and I prefer not to live in the past.
Except when I'm posting for the Sketch of the Week.
