Sketch of the Week:Sycamore Bark

Last spring the sycamores around town were shedding their old bark in order to accommodate new growth, leaving plenty of interesting-looking fragments on the ground. Naturally I collected and sketched them for some unknown, future project:

Let us follow the example of the sycamore by shedding our old bark and opening ourselves to new growth as we greet another year.
