Sketch of the Week: Pumpkin Patch

Here's a view of a pumpkin patch, with particular emphasis on the leaves:

This sketch was made on the Shelburne Museum grounds in the fall of 2011, but it is unfinished. I was going to add color, much as I had with a similar study, but something called me away, either a phone call or some emergency back at the house, and I never got around to completing it. It happens. Frankly I think it works fine in black-and-white.
