October is aspen season in New Mexico, when the hills of the northern landscapes exchange their usual green raiment for gold.
A couple of weeks ago I was Taos giving a paper at a conference. Afterwards, I did some hiking in Santa Fe, where I naturally just had to draw some of the aspens.

There have been so many painters sharing their golden aspens with the world, I doubt I could add much more to that massive visual catalog, but who knows, I may make a monotype or two in the future.
