A few months ago I found a cluster of leaves that had snapped off a tree. I liked the abstract pattern the leaves made when I layered them over one another, so I took them home and sketched the bunch. Later on, I thought about turning them into a color linocut, so I made this subsequent study:
I haven't done anything with it yet, but I'm still thinking it would make a good white-line linocut, so you may see this again in the future.

Woodbury,
ReplyDeleteI apologize for my brevity, but I have been thinking about Censorship and my July Art Show. What if you cut out a Lino cut of a tree with an owl in the hollow middle, and printed it atop your drawing of the leaf bunch?
