I was coming home from a walk last weekend when I saw the silhouette of an animal standing in the path. I initially thought it might be a raven, as they're fairly common around here, but I quickly realized it was actually a little fox. After we stared at one another for a few seconds, I whipped out my phone and started drawing, as I didn't have my sketchbook on me.
Most of this is drawn from memory. A lady walking a pair of dogs arrived on the scene just after I had finished outlining the fox, so I stopped and moved on, knowing the fox would run off anyway. As soon as I got home, I continued sketching while the memory was still fresh.
