Sketch of the Week: Another gourd

The lumpy gourd from last week wasn't the only autumnal surprise my parents mailed me. This elegant little number was in the same box:

I think the two of them would make a wonderfully odd pair in a painting, as they contrast from one another in so many ways, yet share similarities in line and color that bind them together.
