Sketch of the Week

Today we're looking at a old friend of mine, a little fox skull:

Admittedly, I've drawn this skull many times, and it has appeared in several finished artworks. It is, in fact, one of the skulls I featured in my deadheads series, which I blogged about a few months ago. Still, I always like coming back to these because the variety in light and shadow is endless. And let's face it, skulls are loaded images, connoting death, transience, and these days at least, coolness.
